MODELEC is a small enterprise set up by a retired Electronic Engineer who is a life-long modeller with a particular interest in the electrical/electronic problems which arise in electric flight. The intention is to design and produce items of interest to the electric model flyer in small batch quantities so that the hobby pays for itself. There is no great ambition involved: no intention to make large profits, merely a keen interest in electric flight and a satisfaction in helping to overcome the problems involved therein.

Various items of interest to electric flyers will be introduced from time to time and feedback from customers is encouraged.

The first item which is available is a Battery Performance Meter (BPM) which is designed to measure the ability of flight batteries to deliver current to our flight motors; an area which up to the present appears to have been neglected.

A simple but very effective range of Lithium Cell balancers is under development and hopefully will be available shortly.
